Survivor legend Sandra Diaz -Twine is heading back to reality TV—and this time, she’s bringing backup. The self-proclaimed Queen of Survivor will appear on Season 2 of Fox’s wilderness competition Extracted alongside her daughter, Nina Twine, known to fans from Australian Survivor.
Extracted drops competitors into the Canadian backcountry while two “companions” support them from a base, sending supplies and strategy. The catch? Those companions control a giant red Extract button—the only way to pull their teammate out of the field. In a new preview shared by Reality Club (via Entertainment Weekly), Sandra and Nina push their competitor, Eric, to gut it out, with Sandra making it clear she won’t smash that button unless things get truly dire.
The teaser promises a brutal ride: bizarre meals, frigid water crossings, and even black bears nosing around camp. And while Sandra stands alone in Survivor history as the first two-time winner, Eric doesn’t come in with the same battle-tested résumé. At one point, he’s shown begging to be extracted. Nina—who’s both his girlfriend and a Survivor alum—may have to decide whether to save him or let him fight on. Either way, it won’t be an easy call.
The last team standing walks away with a $250,000 grand prize. Extracted Season 2 premieres January 26 at 8 PM ET on Fox.
